Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Henrique Macedo started the match with the kick off. The supporters of Gesteira booed when SC Marinhais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Miguel Esteves, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Sebastião Pinto made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedro Mota in the 6th minute. Pedro Leal kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Henrique Macedo might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastião Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Macedo ran back to his position shaking his head. A hard shot 15 in the game by João Fernandes from a close distance when the talented Sebastião Pinto managed to make a qualified save. SC Marinhais's players were relieved. Cristóvão Figueiredo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Henrique Lima went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Cristiano Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Henrique Macedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Sebastião Pinto managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Gesteira's Pedro Mota fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 32nd minute Henrique Macedo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristiano Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Cristóvão Figueiredo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vicente Neto in the 40th minute of play forced Gesteira's goalkeeper Cristóvão Figueiredo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gesteira's Cristóvão Figueiredo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by António Leão in the 44th minute of play. If Henrique Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristiano Abreu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Cristóvão Figueiredo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristiano Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. When Cristóvão Guerreiro fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Marinhais's protests and gave Cristóvão Guerreiro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gesteira booed when SC Marinhais was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Figueiredo had in the 89thth minute some difficulties stopping Abel Correia's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 1-3 came in the 89th minute when Abel Correia all by himself managed to get straight through the defense and place the ball into the net to the right of Cristóvão Figueiredo. Henrique Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristóvão Figueiredo having to interfere. When Cristiano Abreu in the 97th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Cristóvão Figueiredo kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-4 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. If Pedro Mota had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 101st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Gesteira fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SC Marinhais were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
