In the 39th minute of the match David Almeida sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Lima skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Tacoes FC's zone, Vasco Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Lima came out of the goal and Vasco Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when David Barros made the kick off in the second half. José Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Gonçalves in the 51st minute of the match. Barreiria FC's Vasco Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Artur Porto kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Vasco Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 80th minute, Vasco Pinheiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Tacoes FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. José Garcia hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vasco Pinheiro got free with Eduardo Lima in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Vasco Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Eduardo Lima made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, David Barros managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barreiria FC's supporters rose to their feet, but David Barros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Lima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
