Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when João Aguiar made the kick off which started today's match. Lourenço Azevedo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Viegas having to make a save. Lourenço Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Freitas made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Rodrigo Cunha sent off a good shot on target. In the 16thth minute of the game João Aguiar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vala FC's André Freitas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alexandre Viegas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eusébio Pinheiro in the 18th minute of play. A hard shot 27 in the game by Alexandre Vale from a close distance when the talented André Freitas managed to make a qualified save. Vala FC's players were relieved. André Freitas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Aguiar in the 32nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Vala FC's André Freitas got control of the ball when Alexandre Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 38th minute of the match Armando Veiga shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but André Freitas showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vala FC's zone, Alexandre Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. André Freitas came out of the goal and Alexandre Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 42 minutes into the game, Vala FC's Lourenço Azevedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alexandre Viegas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. With his leg André Freitas managed to avoid a goal in the 45thth minute, when Varadouro FC's Alexandre Vale fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jaime Leal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alexandre Viegas. Varadouro FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half Vala FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lourenço Azevedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vala FC's André Freitas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre Vale in the 53rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Aguiar in the 57th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg André Freitas saved Vala FC from getting behind. Eusébio Pinheiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 62nd minute of the match, but Alexandre Viegas made a huge save. Alexandre Viegas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eusébio Pinheiro in the 68th minute. Eusébio Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Viegas having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Cunha during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. João Aguiar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Freitas having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre Vale in the 80th minute of play forced Vala FC's goalkeeper André Freitas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Varadouro FC booed when Vala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vicente Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Viegas having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Lourenço Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vala FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Lourenço Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Viegas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Vala FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
