When José Rodrigues fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Galegos's protests and gave José Rodrigues a yellow card for diving instead. Alexandre Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Alexandre Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the game, João Aguiar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mariano Guarda. João Aguiar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Hélder Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hélder Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 13 played minutes Varadouro FC got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Vieira. Alexandre Vale's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Mariano Guarda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, SC Galegos's Fernando Esteves got a free kick in the 16th minute. 20 minutes into the game, David Esteves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Alexandre Viegas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 24th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varadouro FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Viegas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Mariano Guarda made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Alexandre Vale sent off a good shot on target. 33 minutes into the match, Varadouro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Pacheco came free, but Alexandre Viegas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. David Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Alexandre Viegas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes in the game, David Esteves dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fernando Pacheco made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Pacheco in the 54th minute of play forced Varadouro FC's goalkeeper Alexandre Viegas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 57th minute, Hélder Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 67 minutes of play Varadouro FC's Alexandre Vale was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SC Galegos booed when Varadouro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Vieira charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardo Vieira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 82nd minute, Fernando Pacheco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Galegos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. In the last second Alexandre Viegas throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fernando Pacheco in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 95th minute, David Esteves made a precise shot to the right of Alexandre Viegas. Varadouro FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. When the match was over SC Galegos could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Varadouro FC throughout the match.
