In the 37th minute Cristiano Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Borba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Fernando Guerreiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Trindade FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Maiorca the free kick. Marco Borba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Nascimento in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the match, Trindade FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Nascimento came free, but Marco Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Cristiano Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vicente Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Fernando Guerreiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 80 minutes had been played. The supporters of SC Maiorca booed when Trindade FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fernando Guerreiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexandre Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexandre Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 94th minute, Armindo Vale sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Trindade FC's Marco Borba didn't even have to move. After 98 minutes Trindade FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Armindo Vale who took care of the corner kick. Sebastião Bessa made a great header on SC Maiorca's corner, it was just that Trindade FC's Marco Borba managed to reach the ball for a save. Trindade FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
