Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Bento Carneiro started the match with the kick off. After having played for 5 minutes, Tiago Moniz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Guetim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tiago Moniz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 1-0 became the score in the 7th minute when Bento Carneiro elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Paulo Simões received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Pedro Valente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Covancas's goal looked a bit too open when Tiago Moniz came free, but Pedro Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 18 minutes into the match, Covancas's Bento Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amílcar Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Paulo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Amílcar Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Guetim's defense didn't have a chance, in the 24th minute, when Paulo Torres scored to the left of an out of position Amílcar Monteiro, making the score, 2-0. Paulo Torress short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Amílcar Monteiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Paulo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 32 minutes into the game, Tiago Cabral was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Guetim's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Covancas the free kick. Tiago Cabral hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Covancas! The referee gave SC Guetim a penalty, 41 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Cabral, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Covancas's Pedro Valente. 2-1. Amílcar Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bento Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Aleixo in the 51st minute of play forced SC Guetim's goalkeeper Amílcar Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute Jorge Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Paulo Torres struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Amílcar Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Covancas. In the 78th minute António Reis suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. André Brito's late challenge caught a Covancas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. André Brito helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, SC Guetim's André Brito got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute Paulo Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amílcar Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pedro Valente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 88 minutes into the match, Covancas's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Simões came free, but Pedro Valente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Paulo Torres came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Covancas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Torres couldn't finish the play. Abel Silva's late challenge caught a Covancas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abel Silva helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Covancas booed when SC Guetim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position.
