In the 24th minute Jacinto Amorim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Coimbra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Albertino Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Barreiro FC booed when SC Pimeiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diogo Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Barreiro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SC Pimeiro were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jacinto Amorim to make the kick off. When Barreiro FC's Amílcar Aguiar, in the 54th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Barreiro FC. After some careless play in the Barreiro FC defense, Abel Coimbra kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miguel Coimbra. The Barreiro FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Coimbra should have stopped the shot. In the 67th match minute, Barreiro FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Amorim to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, SC Pimeiro's Duarte Gonçalves tried to score from far away in the 68th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. A collision led to SC Pimeiro getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Abel Pinho hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, SC Pimeiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diogo Leal to maneuver through the defense. After 81 minutes of play, Barreiro FC's Fernando Faro made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Álvaro Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Álvaro Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Faro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute, Jacinto Amorim fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Abel Coimbra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Miguel Coimbra read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Álvaro Barbosa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Faro in the 95th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Abel Pinho during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Abel Pinho hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. SC Pimeiro had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
