Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Armindo Assis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Marruas FC's goalkeeper Filipe Pinto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jaime Viegas. After 3 played minutes Marruas FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Branco. If Viriato Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joaquim Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Viriato Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Bento Pacheco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Fontes was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Marruas FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vasco Coelho in the 20th minute. Marruas FC's Vasco Coelho was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Nuno Fontes in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jaime Viegas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 24th minute, Armindo Assis fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Filipe Pinto, passed just outside the right post. Nuno Fontes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bento Pacheco in the 27th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Vimeiro got a freekick which was hit by Delfim Oliveira. Armindo Assis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Filipe Pinto made a huge save. Filipe Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armindo Assis in the 43rd minute of play.

Vimeiro's Gil Assunção suffered a concussion after 52 minutes and had to leave the field. After 52 minutes, Joaquim Branco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marruas FC and the Vimeiro players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Marruas FC's Joaquim Branco got a free kick in the 52nd minute. 55 minutes into the game, Armindo Assis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vimeiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marruas FC the free kick. Jaime Viegas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Filipe Pinto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. Viriato Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nuno Fontes having to interfere. Filipe Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Viegas in the 74th minute of the match. Jaime Viegas might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Filipe Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jaime Viegas ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Vimeiro booed when Marruas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Tavares didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jaime Viegas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Filipe Pinto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Viegas in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Viegas in the 83rd minute of play forced Marruas FC's goalkeeper Filipe Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Fontes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viriato Carneiro in the 86th minute. When Jaime Viegas came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Vimeiro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime Viegas couldn't finish the play. Joaquim Branco hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Vimeiro's Nuno Fontes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 96th minute of the match, managed to save Vimeiro from getting a goal against them.
