The crowd rose to their feet as Inácio Faro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gonçalo Freitas. That made the score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. Inácio Faro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Gonçalo Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Acafora's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Borba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When SC Amendoais's Mariano Borba in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Acafora's goalie prevented a goal. Nuno Pedroso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mariano Borba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Pedroso having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Inácio Faro made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, SC Amendoais's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Santarém came free, but Gonçalo Freitas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, SC Acafora's Adolfo Faria got a free kick in the 54th minute. Carlos Santarém sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SC Acafora's Carlos Santarém got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mariano Borba was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Inácio Faro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gonçalo Freitas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 69th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Amendoais's zone, Carlos Santarém stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Freitas came out of the goal and Carlos Santarém tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gonçalo Freitas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Inácio Faro's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. When Inácio Faro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the SC Acafora fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Faro couldn't finish the play. Gonçalo Freitas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inácio Faro, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Inácio Faro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Freitas having to interfere. A collision led to SC Amendoais getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Cristiano Faria hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in SC Amendoais's zone, Carlos Santarém stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Freitas came out of the goal and Carlos Santarém tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The SC Amendoais players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Acafora from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
