Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Paulo Teixeira to strike the kick off in the second half. After 56 minutes, Óscar Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avessada and the SC Bela players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 58th match minute, Avessada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bento Vieira to maneuver through the defense. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avessada's goalkeeper Rodrigo Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Melo came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Avessada's Carlos Ribeiro. But to his dismay, Carlos Ribeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 96 minutes into the match, SC Bela's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Pires came free, but Ricardo Melo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
