Fernando Pires took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Catarino Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Catarino Martins in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fernando Pires prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arieiro FC's Álvaro Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Viana in the 37th minute of play. Álvaro Miranda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Queirós in the 40th minute of play. 46 minutes into the match, Jaime Viana notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Arieiro FC's Álvaro Miranda. Álvaro Miranda was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Arieiro FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Covoes were winning 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jaime Viana was the one to do the kick off. Lucas Queirós could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Álvaro Miranda made a huge save. Catarino Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gabriel Neto's late challenge caught a Arieiro FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gabriel Neto helped the player get up and apologised. Gabriel Neto kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Fernando Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Catarino Martins in the 64th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Martins in the 67th minute of play forced Covoes's goalkeeper Fernando Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Catarino Martins struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Fernando Pires didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arieiro FC. Fernando Pires made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Catarino Martins in the 76th minute of play. If Armindo Moniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The Covoes players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
