Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Toutosa's José Mendes started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When André Ribeiro came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the SC Toutosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Ribeiro couldn't finish the play. The supporters of SC Toutosa booed when Atafonas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Nogueira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jacinto Assunção sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Emílio Reis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Atafonas's goalkeeper Carlos Mota, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Atafonas's Hélder Sousa got a free kick in the 24th minute. In the 40th minute Adolfo Henriques shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. André Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Henriques in the 42nd minute of play. Emílio Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Carlos Mota made a huge save. SC Toutosa's André Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacinto Assunção in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Jacinto Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Paulo Ferro fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Toutosa's protests and gave Paulo Ferro a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Ferro hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Atafonas's supporters rose to their feet, but Jacinto Assunção was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. André Cunha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd of the match, Adolfo Henriques tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but André Cunha got in the way and made a wonderful save. Emílio Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Carlos Mota tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
