The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. SC Concela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With his leg André Cunha managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when SC Concela's Lucas Oliveira fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 21 minutes of play, SC Toutosa's Emílio Reis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xavier Borba was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 27 played minutes SC Concela got a freekick which was hit by Cândido Ferreira. If José Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emílio Reis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Xavier Borba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SC Concela's zone, José Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xavier Borba came out of the goal and José Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Soares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for André Cunha. SC Toutosa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

André Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Brito, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. SC Concela's Lucas Oliveira got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emílio Reis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Xavier Borba made a huge save. 84 minutes into the game, Luís Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Toutosa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Concela the free kick. Luís Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 86th match minute, SC Toutosa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adolfo Leite to maneuver through the defense. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
