Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Peao's Luís Amaro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 10 minutes into the match, SC Peao's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Matias came free, but Tiago Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Manuel Delgado sped through Embarbez FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Joaquim Simões. Manuel Delgado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Miguel Abreu fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Embarbez FC's protests and gave Miguel Abreu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Peao booed when Embarbez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Embarbez FC's Joaquim Simões proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Embarbez FC from getting a goal against them. Manuel Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Joaquim Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Delgado got free with Joaquim Simões in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jacinto Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Cunha having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Peao's goalkeeper Tiago Cunha, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luís Amaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Joaquim Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 31 minutes into the game, Manuel Delgado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Joaquim Simões was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 35 minutes into the match, SC Peao's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Matias came free, but Tiago Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Simões was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Luís Amaro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luís Amaro really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. In the 46th match minute, Embarbez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amílcar Veiga to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Henrique Matias made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to SC Peao getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Francisco Setúbal hit a great ball. In the 53rd match minute, Embarbez FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrique Matias to maneuver through the defense. Henrique Matias got in the 57th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Tiago Cunha handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Manuel Delgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Simões having to interfere. Luís Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Embarbez FC's Daniel Pires got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 83rd minute Manuel Delgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Simões saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 83 minutes of play Embarbez FC's Miguel Abreu was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of SC Peao booed when Embarbez FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Embarbez FC's Jacinto Esteves got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Embarbez FC's Joaquim Simões played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Delgado in the 97th minute of play.
