Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Avilhoso's Luís Aguiar started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Américo Domingues fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Neto having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Avilhoso's Jorge Maia got a free kick in the 6th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by André Torres during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 10th minute, André Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cristóvão Macedo came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Avilhoso's Luís Aguiar. But to his dismay, Luís Aguiar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Luís Aguiar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Cristóvão Macedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fábio Neto was out of position in the 22 minute of play, and Albertino Viana capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Albertino Viana really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. When Paulo Castro fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Salgadinho FC's protests and gave Paulo Castro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Salgadinho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Castro to maneuver through the defense. In the 31st minute of the match, Albertino Viana tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fábio Neto saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 31 played minutes Avilhoso got a freekick which was hit by Filipe Valente. Salgadinho FC's Adelino Abreu shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 34th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Fábio Neto but with some difficulty. Albertino Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fábio Neto having to interfere. If Albertino Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luís Aguiar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristóvão Macedo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Paulo Castro was shown his second yellow card after 42 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. If João Luz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Américo Domingues to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, André Torres hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Avilhoso's Luís Aguiar in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Salgadinho FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Albertino Viana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Américo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 70 minutes, Américo Domingues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Salgadinho FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Domingues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 72 minutes, Jorge Maia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avilhoso and the Salgadinho FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Avilhoso getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Jorge Maia hit a great ball. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Avilhoso's goalkeeper Fábio Neto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Américo Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Fábio Neto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Albertino Viana came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Salgadinho FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertino Viana couldn't finish the play. João Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Américo Domingues sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fábio Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Américo Domingues in the 96th minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
