An unexpectedly hard shot by António Nunes in the 4th minute of play forced Pegos FC's goalkeeper Rafael Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Veiga hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Through an outstanding action, after 6 minutes, Tiago Alves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. António Araújo's late challenge caught a Beicudo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. António Araújo helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Pegos FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. António Araújo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Carlos Gueifão's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rafael Vale was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joaquim Oliveira in the 9th minute of play forced Beicudo FC's goalkeeper Tiago Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Pegos FC's Óscar Gonçalves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiago Alves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Carlos Gueifão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Rafael Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute António Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Carlos Gueifão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Joaquim Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Tiago Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Pegos FC's Joaquim Oliveira ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tiago Alves. Tiago Alves yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. After having played for 40 minutes, Amadeu Simões managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pegos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amadeu Simões was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Óscar Gonçalves got free with Tiago Alves in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Beicudo FC's Joaquim Fernandes got a free kick in the 45th minute. In the 47th minute, Pegos FC's Joaquim Oliveira dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for António Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. During the 58th minute of the match António Araújo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave António Araújo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Pegos FC's António Araújo got a free kick in the 58th minute. Rafael Vale didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from António Nunes went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. When Óscar Gonçalves came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Pegos FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Óscar Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Amadeu Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Amadeu Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Amadeu Simões kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, Pegos FC's Óscar Gonçalves sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiago Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Carlos Gueifão came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Beicudo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Gueifão couldn't finish the play. After 87 played minutes Pegos FC got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Oliveira. Carlos Gueifão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Óscar Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
