Corgos FC's António Gaspar got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Vieira having to interfere. In the 21st minute António Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Gaspar in the 22nd minute of the match. Manuel Matias struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Cláudio Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corgos FC. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when António Gaspar made the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Manuel Matias managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corgos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Manuel Matias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cláudio Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. António Gaspar struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corgos FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Carreira FC.
