The ball went over the crossbar instead. 14 minutes into the game, Miguel Neto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carreira FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rabaca FC the free kick. David Leite fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Vieira having to interfere. Cláudio Vieira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Delgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Hélder Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cristiano Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Nuno Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The long shot by Basílio Amaral in the 32nd minute really tested Nuno Vale's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Henrique Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd rose to their feet as Rabaca FC's Luís Delgado slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cláudio Vieira. That made the score 0-2 after 62 minutes of play. When Henrique Reis came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Carreira FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrique Reis couldn't finish the play. Luís Delgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 75 played minutes Carreira FC got a freekick which was hit by Miguel Neto. Cláudio Vieira acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 76th minute, took the ball on the long shot from David Barbosa. Cristiano Bessa might have been able to make a better finish in the 81st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nuno Vale. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Bessa ran back to his position shaking his head.
