After 3 minutes, Tomás Nogueira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hortas FC and the Torno players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Hortas FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Tomás Nogueira hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Torno's goalkeeper Abel Esteves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Paiva. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Paredes in the 9th minute of play forced Torno's goalkeeper Abel Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Afonso Paiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Abel Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Afonso Paiva succeeded in the game's 18th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. In the 22nd minute of the match Luís Antunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Cunha skillfully saved the ball. Torno's Abel Esteves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Torno from getting a goal against them. João Paredes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Abel Esteves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Torno got a freekick which was hit by Joel Faria. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torno's goalkeeper Abel Esteves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Setúbal made a kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfredo Aleixo during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Alfredo Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Afonso Paiva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hortas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Paiva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Esteves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Torno's Joel Faria got a free kick in the 66th minute. Sandro Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Setúbal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oliveira Dantas in the 83rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sandro Cunha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Oliveira Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 86 played minutes Hortas FC got a freekick which was hit by Alfredo Aleixo. 91 minutes into the match, Torno's goal looked a bit too open when João Paredes came free, but Abel Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torno's Abel Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Paredes in the 95th minute of play. Hortas FC's Henrique Gonçalves couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Torno. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
