Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Afonso Moura made the kick off which started today's match. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Jorge Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Juliaos FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jorge Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miguel Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 7th match minute, Mesas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliveira Pires to maneuver through the defense. José Sá was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Afonso Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mesas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Moura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomás Veiga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Brás took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Miguel Porto. Mesas FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Manuel Melo scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Porto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Manuel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Mesas FC fans' excitement grew in the 27th match minute when Mesas FC's Afonso Moura looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 34 minutes into the match, Juliaos FC's Manuel Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tomás Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Juliaos FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Amadeu Azevedo hit a great ball. Miguel Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jorge Queirós might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Miguel Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jorge Queirós ran back to his position shaking his head. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Manuel Melo made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Jorge Queirós made a precise shot to the right of Miguel Porto. Mesas FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Cristóvão Santos kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Juliaos FC's Tomás Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Fernandes in the 65th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Juliaos FC's zone, Humberto Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tomás Veiga came out of the goal and Humberto Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Veiga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlos Paiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Juliaos FC's Tomás Veiga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Fernandes in the 82nd minute of play. If Manuel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Oliveira Pires hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Miguel Porto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Melo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juliaos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
