Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Espozade's Júlio Barros started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd match minute, SC Espozade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. Júlio Barros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Fernando Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fernando Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiago Oliveira in the 13th minute of play. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atouguia FC's goalkeeper Fernando Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Atouguia FC's Afonso Lopes got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Freitas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Gonçalo Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atouguia FC's goalkeeper Fernando Garcia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Atouguia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Afonso Lopes to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Júlio Barros made a precise shot to the right of Fernando Garcia. Atouguia FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Freitas made a kick off. With an all-out effort, SC Espozade's Fernando Garcia threw himself towards the right post 51 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Júlio Barros, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 51st minute, Júlio Barros ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. After 55 minutes of play, Atouguia FC's Luís Freitas made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gonçalo Gueifão was left in no man's land by his defense there! Afonso Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Luís Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Gueifão having to interfere. 71 minutes into the game, Óscar Amaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Espozade's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atouguia FC the free kick. 72 minutes into the match, Atouguia FC's Xavier Pedroso broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Nuno Almeida charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nuno Almeida the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Nuno Almeida kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 78th minute Atouguia FC were awarded a corner. Xavier Pedroso went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Xavier Pedroso got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Gonçalo Gueifão quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Afonso Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. SC Espozade's Gonçalo Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Freitas in the 81st minute of play. Afonso Lopes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonçalo Gueifão having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as SC Espozade's Júlio Barros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fernando Garcia. That made the score 1-4 after 90 minutes of play. In the 94thth minute of the game Júlio Barros who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Atouguia FC's Fernando Garcia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 96 minutes, Joel Moreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Atouguia FC and the SC Espozade players grew even worse after the yellow card. SC Espozade's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
