SC Amparo's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gabriel Resende came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Amparo's Miguel Silva. But to his dismay, Miguel Silva quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Eusébio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cândido Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gabriel Resende stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Silva's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Tiago Freitas hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute João Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gabriel Resende saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Miguel Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Gabriel Resende tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half SC Amparo were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a defensive mix-up in SC Amparo's zone, Daniel Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Filipe Araújo came out of the goal and Daniel Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, SC Amparo's Viriato Anjos got a free kick in the 59th minute. In the 62nd minute Cândido Mendes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Araújo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eusébio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Araújo having to interfere. When Rui Melo fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sanchequias FC's protests and gave Rui Melo a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 played minutes Sanchequias FC got a freekick which was hit by Rui Melo. After a defensive mix-up in Sanchequias FC's zone, Miguel Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Resende came out of the goal and Miguel Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Miguel Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
