Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Bertufo's Filipe Macedo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 8 minutes, Afonso Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cartim FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Monteiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Fonseca in the 10th minute of play forced SC Bertufo's goalkeeper Vítor Ferro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute José Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vítor Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Pinheiro hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Vítor Ferro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Queirós's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. Mário Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diamantino Moreira charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Moreira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Bertufo fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! The referee gave Cartim FC a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Tiago Amaro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Bertufo's Vítor Ferro. 0-1. Cristóvão Luz was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Filipe Macedo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Filipe Macedo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. SC Bertufo's Bento Leão shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 30th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Cristóvão Luz but with some difficulty. Mário Fonseca scored 1-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vítor Ferro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a little luck, Cartim FC's Cristóvão Luz got control of the ball when Alfredo Miranda tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when José Queirós made the kick off in the second half. Mário Fonseca received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Vítor Ferro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74th minute, Alfredo Miranda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mário Fonseca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Vítor Ferro made a huge save. Cristóvão Pinheiro's late challenge caught a Cartim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Pinheiro helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cartim FC booed when SC Bertufo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cristóvão Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Miranda in the 91st minute of play.
