Cândido Bessa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ricardo Amaro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. After 23 played minutes Bouxinhas FC got a freekick which was hit by Eduardo Morais. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling João Matias in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Amaro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 38 minutes, Joaquim Ferro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bouxinhas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Ferro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cândido Bessa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ricardo Amaro having to make a save. In the 47th minute the ball was on its way in behind Assamassa's goalkeeper Ricardo Amaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.

The wind increased when Luís Alves made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bouxinhas FC's goalkeeper Bento Guerreiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Matias in the 88th minute of play forced Assamassa's goalkeeper Ricardo Amaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers João Matias in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ricardo Amaro saved Assamassa from getting behind. Ricardo Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cândido Bessa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Assamassa's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
