Without hesitation aimed to the right of Afonso Torres, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 4th minute, Rodrigo Faro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the last second Afonso Torres throw himself and got hold of the ball when Adolfo Gomes in the 7thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. When Adgiraldo FC's Adolfo Gomes in the 9th minute got a chance for a shot 9th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Devezinha FC's goalie prevented a goal. Miguel Oliveira's late challenge caught a Adgiraldo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Miguel Oliveira helped the player get up and apologised. 11 minutes into the match, Adgiraldo FC's Rodrigo Faro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Afonso Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Rodrigo Faro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Afonso Torres was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Rafael Brito recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sebastião Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Diogo Leão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Manuel Paiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. António Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Rafael Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paiva having to interfere. Manuel Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Leão in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Leão in the 25th minute of play forced Adgiraldo FC's goalkeeper Manuel Paiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Devezinha FC booed when Adgiraldo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Pacheco didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Devezinha FC's Pedro Castro in action when he in the 47th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adolfo Gomes to make the kick off. Devezinha FC's Rafael Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Adgiraldo FC's António Abreu got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Rafael Brito came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Devezinha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Brito couldn't finish the play. Devezinha FC's Afonso Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Gomes in the 85th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adolfo Gomes in the 87th minute of play forced Devezinha FC's goalkeeper Afonso Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adolfo Gomes in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Afonso Torres saved Devezinha FC from getting behind. Afonso Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Gomes in the 91st minute of the match. Afonso Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adolfo Gomes in the 92nd minute of play. Adgiraldo FC's Manuel Paiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Adgiraldo FC from getting a goal against them. Manuel Paiva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rafael Brito in the 96th minute. Adgiraldo FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
