Maragota FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heitor Reis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Maragota FC's zone, Daniel Aleixo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafael Carneiro came out of the goal and Daniel Aleixo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Raul Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Heitor Reis charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Heitor Reis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Heitor Reis kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Casinhas's Joaquim Miranda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Heitor Reis in the 38th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Casinhas's goal looked a bit too open when Raul Monteiro came free, but Joaquim Miranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Joaquim Miranda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Heitor Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Rafael Carneiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vicente Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a rather tough play, Maragota FC's Joaquim Figueiredo got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 61st minute, Daniel Aleixo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Daniel Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Casinhas's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Aleixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Carneiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vicente Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Rafael Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Casinhas. Raul Monteiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Joaquim Miranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 88th match minute, Maragota FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Figueiredo to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute of the match Manuel Delgado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rafael Carneiro skillfully saved the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Maragota FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
