In the 3rd minute Vítor Nascimento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vítor Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Lúcio Aleixo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 played minutes Vieito got a freekick which was hit by Vítor Valente. 15 minutes into the match, Prestimo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cândido Alves came free, but Rui Torres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Domingos Veiga hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. In the 19th minute Amílcar Paredes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Aleixo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 25 minutes Vieito's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amílcar Paredes who took care of the corner kick. In the 27th minute of the match, Cândido Alves tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rui Torres saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Lúcio Aleixo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Nascimento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Vieito:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Prestimo FC:s goal. The referee gave Prestimo FC a penalty, 43 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Amílcar Paredes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Vieito's Lúcio Aleixo. 0-1. In the 47thth minute of the game Manuel Antunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Vieito's Lúcio Aleixo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Vieito players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Prestimo FC were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cândido Alves to make the kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Vítor Nascimento managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Prestimo FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Nascimento was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 63 minutes, António Brás mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vieito and the Prestimo FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. António Brás hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cândido Alves in the 68th minute of play forced Prestimo FC's goalkeeper Rui Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 71st minute Cândido Alves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rui Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Vieito's goalkeeper Lúcio Aleixo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nuno Jesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rui Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rui Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cândido Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Manuel Antunes came free with the goalkeeper in the 82nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Lúcio Aleixo could save by the left post. Rui Torres made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nuno Jesus in the 84th minute of play. Rui Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nuno Jesus in the 87th minute of the match. Manuel Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lúcio Aleixo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. The Prestimo FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Prestimo FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
