Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when António Anjos kicked off to start the match. Rui Mota received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Tomás Gueifão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When António Anjos came up free with the goalie in the 10th minute, the Bonaval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that António Anjos couldn't finish the play. Rui Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomás Gueifão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Mota in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Bonaval booed when Grou was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diamantino Carneiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Mota scored 0-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tomás Gueifão, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bonaval's António Anjos got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Grou's Tomás Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rui Mota in the 34th minute of play. When Diamantino Carneiro fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grou's protests and gave Diamantino Carneiro a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Grou getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. David Aguiar hit a great ball. Diamantino Carneiro kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bonaval's zone, Álvaro Rocha stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. António Setúbal came out of the goal and Álvaro Rocha tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Grou's goalkeeper Tomás Gueifão, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Rui Mota came up free with the goalie in the 49th minute, the Bonaval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rui Mota couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
The wind increased when Álvaro Rocha made the kick off in the second half. Rui Mota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Motas short, quick shot in the 63rdth minute got Tomás Gueifão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Alfredo Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 73 minutes, Álvaro Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Grou's supporters crossed their fingers, but Álvaro Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the match, Álvaro Rocha notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Bonaval's António Setúbal. António Setúbal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 93 played minutes Bonaval got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Moreira. After recieving a nice pass, Grou's João Freitas tried to score from far away in the 94th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Albertino Freitas's late challenge caught a Grou's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertino Freitas helped the player get up and apologised. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Grou. João Freitas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving António Setúbal. 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Grou fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bonaval had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
