Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fernando Veiga took the kick off in the first half of the match. The audience was convinced that Armando Mendes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heitor Bessa was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Veiga couldn't finish the play. After 16 minutes, Joaquim Guerreiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Varzea and the Adecide players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Varzea's Joaquim Guerreiro got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 29th minute, Armando Mendes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cristiano Brito fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Leão having to interfere. Alberto Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristiano Brito in the 36th minute of play. If Armando Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristiano Brito was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Veiga in the 52nd minute of play forced Adecide's goalkeeper Heitor Bessa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Heitor Bessa having to interfere. Óscar Branco kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in SC Varzea's zone, Cristiano Brito stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alberto Leão came out of the goal and Cristiano Brito tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuno Pires in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alberto Leão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Cristiano Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artur Esteves's late challenge caught a Adecide's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Artur Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Adecide booed when SC Varzea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Artur Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the game, Cristiano Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Adecide's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Varzea the free kick. In the 73rd match minute, Adecide was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristiano Brito to maneuver through the defense. Adecide's Heitor Bessa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Veiga in the 76th minute of play. Heitor Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adecide's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
