Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fernando Veiga started the match with the kick off. Carlos Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Veiga in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Armando Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Varzea's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Mendes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlos Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cândido Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Carlos Leão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Veiga in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Catarino Pacheco in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Leão saved SC Varzea from getting behind. Catarino Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Leão having to interfere. Alberto Leão showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. In the 22nd minute, Paulo Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Armando Mendes in the 26th minute. Carlos Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Veiga in the 28th minute of play. Armando Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Leão having to interfere. Manuel Machado's late challenge caught a SC Rosmaninho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Machado helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in SC Varzea fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Rogério Barros placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 38th minute Catarino Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 39 minutes, Pedro Pereira made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. SC Varzea's Alberto Leão tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Catarino Pacheco in the 44th minute of play forced SC Varzea's goalkeeper Alberto Leão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the game, Joaquim Guerreiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Varzea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Rosmaninho the free kick. After 45 played minutes SC Varzea got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Guerreiro.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Catarino Pacheco stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Catarino Pacheco came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the SC Rosmaninho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Catarino Pacheco couldn't finish the play. Pedro Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Leão having to interfere. In the 70th minute Catarino Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Armando Mendes struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Carlos Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Varzea. Paulo Maia kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes, SC Varzea's Tomás Pacheco shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Carlos Leão came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SC Varzea reached it. In the 82nd minute, Pedro Sá left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Rosmaninho fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. In the 87th minute Fernando Veiga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Leão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 88th minute, Armando Mendes made a precise shot to the right of Carlos Leão. SC Rosmaninho's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Catarino Pacheco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Leão having to interfere.
