Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Júlio Baptista kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júlio Baptista in the 8th minute of play forced Campino FC's goalkeeper André Coimbra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carlos Magalhães sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Refugio getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Armando Bessa hit a great ball. The supporters of Campino FC booed when Refugio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Campino FC's André Coimbra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuno Monteiro in the 18th minute of play. 21 minutes into the match, Campino FC's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Baptista came free, but André Coimbra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Carlos Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Cristiano Delgado fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Refugio's protests and gave Cristiano Delgado a yellow card for diving instead. After 24 played minutes Refugio got a freekick which was hit by Cristiano Delgado. In the 28th minute, Heitor Nascimento got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Carlos Magalhães in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Baptista received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. André Coimbra came out and tried to block the shot, but Júlio Baptista slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 39th minute.

Pedro Porto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Magalhães in the 51st minute of play. Emanuel Castro hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Carlos Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Porto having to interfere. Campino FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Nunes couldn't finish the play. Campino FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Refugio to leave the ground with a draw.
