Rafael Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Pinho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rodrigo Delgado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Campos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rodrigo Delgado's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Lúcio Lopes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ricardo Silva got free in front of the goal in the 24th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Rafael Azevedo was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Pinho in the 29th minute of play forced SC Palaios's goalkeeper Rafael Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Formoselos's goalkeeper Miguel Campos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Jorge Branco charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jorge Branco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Miguel Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Carlos Assunção in the 46th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Miguel Campos was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Carlos Assunção capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Carlos Assunção really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. In the 59th minute, Carlos Assunção got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 61st minute, Ricardo Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Luís Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Palaios walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
