In the 8th minute Rui Trindade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rui Trindade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mariano Brito received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Bruno Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Monteiro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rui Trindade went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Manuel Paredes kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Mariano Brito struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bruno Monteiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Moliana. Bruno Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rui Trindade, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Domingos Sá hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, SC Souzelas's Luís Maia ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Amadeu Coelho. Amadeu Coelho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. When Afonso Branco came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the SC Souzelas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Branco couldn't finish the play. Afonso Brancos short, quick shot in the 49thth minute got Amadeu Coelho to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rui Trindade stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Afonso Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Trindade was extremely unlucky when he, in the 58th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mariano Brito might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mariano Brito ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 66 minutes, Mariano Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Moliana's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With his leg Bruno Monteiro managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when SC Moliana's Mariano Brito fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Bruno Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rui Trindade in the 73rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Afonso Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Souzelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Afonso Branco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the SC Moliana defense, Afonso Branco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Coelho. The SC Moliana fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Coelho should have stopped the shot. Amadeu Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Maia in the 83rd minute of play. If Rui Trindade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Trindade in the 87th minute of play. In the 96th play minute Mariano Brito came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Bruno Monteiro. 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
