Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Souzelas's Luís Maia started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Formoselos's goalkeeper Miguel Campos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ricardo Silva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Bruno Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bruno Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Pinho, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. If Luís Pinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Luís Pinho managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Formoselos's supporters rose to their feet, but Luís Pinho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Monteiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricardo Silva in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Monteiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 19th minute of the match André Santarém shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bruno Monteiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Rui Vale fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Souzelas's protests and gave Rui Vale a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to SC Souzelas getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Rui Vale hit a great ball. Ricardo Silva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Monteiro having to interfere. Miguel Campos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Maia in the 24th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, SC Formoselos's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Maia came free, but Miguel Campos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Miguel Campos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Souzelas's Luís Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The SC Formoselos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Afonso Branco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ricardo Silva might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bruno Monteiro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ricardo Silva ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 86th minute, Cláudio Castro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Miguel Campos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Afonso Branco in the 92nd minute. Luís Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Miguel Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 95 played minutes SC Formoselos got a freekick which was hit by Manuel Santarém. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
