A collision led to SC Magunte getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Carlos Reis hit a great ball. The supporters of SC Magunte booed when SC Cidreira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Campos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Abel Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Reis, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 16th match minute, SC Cidreira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiago Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. Abel Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diogo Lima, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tiago Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vítor Maia having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Diogo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Abel Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diogo Lima in the 56th minute of play forced SC Cidreira's goalkeeper Abel Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SC Cidreira's António Moreira got a free kick in the 58th minute. Abel Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Diogo Lima in the 63rd minute of the match. In the 64th minute, Álvaro Melo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Diogo Lima left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Magunte fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. If Diogo Lima had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. SC Magunte were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SC Cidreira for a fine match.
