Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Costa in the 2nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Luís Lima prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristóvão Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Maia having to interfere. Manuel Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Luís Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Francisco Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. Luís Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, Paulo Guarda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Manuel Andrade had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Azeitada getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Joel Esteves hit a great ball. Jorge Maia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Esteves in the 27th minute of the match. Cristóvão Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Maia having to interfere. Daniel Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Luís Lima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 39 minutes into the match, Azeitada's goalkeeper Luís Lima had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Manuel Andrade. Daniel Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Lima made an important save on a dangerous shot by Manuel Andrade in the 44th minute. After having played for 48 minutes, Daniel Costa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vimioso's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Costa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. Azeitada's Luís Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Costa in the 54th minute of play. Jorge Maia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. When Fernando Cardoso fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vimioso's protests and gave Fernando Cardoso a yellow card for diving instead. In the 57th minute, Fernando Cardoso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Lima took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Azeitada:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Vimioso:s goal. Luís Lima had in the 66thth minute some difficulties stopping Miguel Araújo's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind Azeitada's goalkeeper Luís Lima, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Vimioso's Daniel Costa in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Azeitada's goalie prevented a goal. Azeitada's Luís Lima played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Andrade in the 78th minute of play. Cristóvão Pinheiro charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristóvão Pinheiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vimioso booed when Azeitada was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristóvão Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Azeitada's zone, Manuel Andrade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Lima came out of the goal and Manuel Andrade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manuel Andrade struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Luís Lima didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vimioso. Cristóvão Pinheiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 99th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jorge Maia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Pinheiro ran back to his position shaking his head. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
