In the 3rd minute of the match Rui Abreu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Marco Brás showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Corveiros's António Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 6th minute Mariano Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Brás saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Corveiros booed when SC Trapa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor Valente didn't get a good kick on the ball. 7 minutes into the match, SC Trapa's goal looked a bit too open when António Santos came free, but Marco Brás reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Santos in the 9th minute of the match. Mariano Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Brás having to interfere. Alberto Marques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Gabriel Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Alberto Marques tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marco Brás made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Porto in the 17th minute of play. Marco Brás showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from António Santos in the 19th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the game, Manuel Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Trapa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Corveiros the free kick. Carlos Machado, 22 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a rather tough play, Corveiros's António Santos got a free kick in the 30th minute. With a little luck, Corveiros's Alberto Marques got control of the ball when Gabriel Mendes tried to sneak it across the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, SC Trapa's Gabriel Mendes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Marques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 39 minutes into the game, David Assis lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Alberto Marques. Gabriel Mendes struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alberto Marques didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Trapa. Raul Dias hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When Raul Dias was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 46 minutes had been played. Raul Dias kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. SC Trapa's Gabriel Mendes got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
The wind increased when Mariano Porto made the kick off in the second half. Mariano Porto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Marco Brás tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Simão Fonseca during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 65 played minutes Corveiros got a freekick which was hit by Hélder Moreira. SC Trapa's David Assis got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hélder Moreira hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Corveiros's Alberto Marques played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Mendes in the 70th minute of play. David Assis charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed David Assis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. If Gabriel Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mariano Porto struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Marco Brás didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corveiros. David Assis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alberto Marques having to make a save. Marco Brás made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mariano Porto in the 89th minute. Gabriel Mendes might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alberto Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gabriel Mendes ran back to his position shaking his head. 91 minutes into the game, David Assis cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Alberto Marques was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. David Assis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. For all the effort they put into the match, the Corveiros players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Trapa.
