Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Herdade's Daniel Gonçalves started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute, João Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Vieira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso Pereira's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 16th minute, Mário Teixeira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Cláudio Macedo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sérgio Martins in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Augusto Moutinho saved Melcoes FC from getting behind. Daniel Gonçalves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Daniel Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Herdade's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Augusto Moutinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 33rd match minute, Herdade was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Leite to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Vieira having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Herdade got a freekick which was hit by João Leal. 42 minutes into the match, Melcoes FC's Afonso Pereira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Manuel Vieira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Daniel Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Afonso Pereira to make the kick off. Augusto Moutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sérgio Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 63 minutes into the match, Humberto Amaral had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Vieira. Herdade's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Humberto Amaral was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 66 played minutes Herdade got a freekick which was hit by Joaquim Leite. In the 70th minute of the match Joaquim Leite sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Augusto Moutinho skillfully saved the ball. In the 73rd minute Humberto Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Pereira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Manuel Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Carlos Porto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Herdade and the Melcoes FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 90th match minute, Melcoes FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Paredes to maneuver through the defense. For all the effort they put into the match, the Herdade players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Melcoes FC.
