João Correia made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Nuno Sousa sent off a good shot on target. If Rogério Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruno Monteiro kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Pedro Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodrigo Pereira having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, Adelino Amaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Corricao FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Semitela the free kick. After having played for 16 minutes, Luís Matos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Semitela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Matos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. João Correia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lúcio Brás went, in the 21st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. João Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Sousa, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Rogério Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rodrigo Pereira was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Nuno Sousa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Corricao FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Sousa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Correia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, SC Semitela's João Correia got control of the ball when Bruno Monteiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Nuno Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Corricao FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nuno Sousa couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the match, SC Semitela's goal looked a bit too open when Lúcio Brás came free, but João Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Corricao FC were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after SC Semitela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Américo Porto took the corner. After taking down the ball on Corricao FC's corner Américo Porto fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and João Correia quite easily take care of the ball. Lúcio Brás struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. João Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Corricao FC. When Rogério Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the SC Semitela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Lúcio Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Nuno Sousa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but João Correia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. If Rogério Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Bruno Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lúcio Brás, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
