Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Manuel Miranda got the match started through his kick off. A collision led to Fojos getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Bernardo Nascimento hit a great ball. Diamantino Leal charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diamantino Leal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Fojos's Diamantino Leal got a free kick in the 6th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Nuno Viana managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cide's supporters rose to their feet, but Nuno Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diamantino Leal made a great header on Fojos's corner, it was just that SC Cide's Adelino Reis managed to reach the ball for a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rodrigo Santarém was the one to do the kick off. Adelino Reis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manuel Miranda in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adelino Reis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fojos were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
