After a defensive mix-up in Matriz FC's zone, Afonso Brás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nuno Campos came out of the goal and Afonso Brás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Américo Almeida who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 29thth minute tested the skills of Hélder Amorim when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Américo Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Afonso Brás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Nuno Campos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Duarte Nogueira in the 38th minute of play. Joaquim Magalhães hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duarte Nogueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duarte Nogueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Borralhoso FC! After 80 minutes, Américo Almeida made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Borralhoso FC's Hélder Amorim tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 83 minutes into the game, Américo Almeida cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Hélder Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a little luck, Matriz FC's Nuno Campos got control of the ball when Armindo Cabral tried to sneak it across the goal line. Afonso Fernandes kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After having played for 97 minutes, Afonso Brás managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Borralhoso FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Afonso Brás was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
