Afonso Moutinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertino Barros, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adolfo Brás got free with Miguel Dias in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 33rd minute, Albertino Barros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Miguel Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Cruz, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Cristiano Correia struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Miguel Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Avinho. Adolfo Brás blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Miguel Dias having to make a save. In the 43rd minute, Adolfo Brás fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Miguel Dias, passed just outside the right post. 45 minutes into the game, SC Avinho's Adolfo Brás nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Albertino Barros was the one to do the kick off. SC Avinho's Afonso Moutinho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save SC Avinho from getting a goal against them. Afonso Moutinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Domingos Cruz in the 59th minute. Domingos Cruz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Afonso Moutinho made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, SC Avinho's goalkeeper Afonso Moutinho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Domingos Cruz. A collision led to SC Avinho getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Cristiano Correia hit a great ball. In the 69th minute, Cheires FC's Albertino Barros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Albertino Barros's late challenge caught a SC Avinho's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Albertino Barros helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cheires FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Albertino Barros hit a great ball. In the 82nd match minute, Cheires FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rafael Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Adolfo Brás fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Dias having to interfere. The Cheires FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented SC Avinho from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
