António Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Cruz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso Moutinho made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Albertino Reis sent off a good shot on target. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Augusto Cruz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brandariz FC's António Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Brandariz FC from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute Albertino Reis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonso Moutinho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Moutinho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albertino Reis's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. After 66 minutes, Afonso Gonçalves made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. SC Avinho's Afonso Moutinho tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Afonso Gonçalves couldn't finish the play. Brandariz FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
