SC Sabugosa's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulo Viana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Afonso Ferro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Duarte Aleixos short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Hélder Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Hélder Melo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Gonçalves, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After having played for 41 minutes, Duarte Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
