Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manuel Rodrigues took the kick off in the first half of the match. 7 minutes into the match, Paulo Viana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Gueifão. Araujo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Paulo Viana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Vasco Queirós's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo Gueifão read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Araujo's Paulo Gueifão proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Araujo from getting a goal against them. After 19 played minutes Araujo got a freekick which was hit by João Aguiar. After a rather tough play, SC Sabugosa's Manuel Moniz got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 31 minutes of play, Araujo's Gustavo Moura made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélder Melo was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 39 played minutes Araujo got a freekick which was hit by Humberto Amorim. Manuel Moniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paulo Viana's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Paulo Gueifão firmly grabbed it by the left post. 43 minutes into the match, Araujo's goal looked a bit too open when Vasco Queirós came free, but Paulo Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Araujo's Manuel Rodrigues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hélder Melo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vasco Queirós stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Paulo Viana came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the SC Sabugosa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo Viana couldn't finish the play. In the 53rd minute, Manuel Rodrigues reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hélder Melo. The goal made the score 1-2. 58 minutes into the match, Paulo Viana notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Araujo's Paulo Gueifão. Paulo Gueifão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Manuel Rodrigues got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vasco Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, João Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Paulo Viana notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Araujo's Paulo Gueifão. Paulo Gueifão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gustavo Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hélder Melo having to interfere. When Rodrigo Leite fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Sabugosa's protests and gave Rodrigo Leite a yellow card for diving instead. Rodrigo Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. In the 92nd minute Manuel Rodrigues shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hélder Melo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hélder Melo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manuel Rodrigues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Araujo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
