With an extended leg and a bit of luck Henrique Garcia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Guerreiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Abreu in the 55th minute of the match. Vasco Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 72 played minutes, Alfouvez's Vítor Fontes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mariano Guerreiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alfouvez reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Alfouvez's zone, Júlio Assunção stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrique Garcia came out of the goal and Júlio Assunção tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Alfouvez's André Abreu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mariano Guerreiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Vasco Ramos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Henrique Garcia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Abreu in the 87th minute of play forced Canaviais's goalkeeper Mariano Guerreiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 91 minutes, Júlio Assunção managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Canaviais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Assunção was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Canaviais's Henrique Garcia threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jorge Fonseca, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
