When Joel Brás fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Borbolega's protests and gave Joel Brás a yellow card for diving instead. Joel Brás kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Miguel Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Machado might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alexandre Amaro. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Machado ran back to his position shaking his head. Artur Paredes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armindo Paiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Gavinhos's zone, João Veiga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Artur Paredes came out of the goal and João Veiga tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 47th minute Armindo Paiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Paredes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armindo Paiva stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Borbolega's Alexandre Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Machado in the 57th minute of play. Alexandre Amaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Machado blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alexandre Amaro having to make a save. In the 68th minute Diamantino Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Amaro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Veiga who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Artur Paredes when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 83rd minute, Diamantino Pacheco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alexandre Amaro was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 87 minutes into the match, Diamantino Pacheco notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Borbolega's Alexandre Amaro. Alexandre Amaro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If João Esteves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. In the 93rd minute, Armindo Paiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 96 minutes into the match, Gavinhos's Júlio Branco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Amaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
