When Heitor Anjos fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sejaes's protests and gave Heitor Anjos a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Fiopos booed when Sejaes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heitor Anjos didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rui Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Fiopos's Artur Pedroso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Macedo in the 27th minute of play. João Macedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Artur Pedroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniel Faro charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Daniel Faro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. João Macedo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Artur Pedroso having to interfere. Heitor Leão's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but André Fontes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 43rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Catarino Cruz during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Catarino Cruz hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
