Jorge Esteves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. André Magalhães tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Joaquim Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 12thth minute of the game Armindo Brás who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Lavachos's Manuel Moniz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Joaquim Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Magalhães having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Vítor Valente made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Moniz. SC Lavachos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 35 minutes into the match, Saudel's goalkeeper André Magalhães had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jorge Esteves. Joaquim Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Magalhães having to interfere.

When Cristiano Sá fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Saudel's protests and gave Cristiano Sá a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Lavachos booed when Saudel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristiano Sá didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 61st minute Joaquim Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Magalhães saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Armindo Brás in the 63rd minute of the match. Jorge Esteves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without André Magalhães having to interfere. If Joaquim Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vítor Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Moniz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. SC Lavachos's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Armindo Brás 94 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Saudel's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
