He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Gambelas FC reached it. After a rather tough play, Gambelas FC's Luís Trindade got a free kick in the 12th minute. Alexandre Viana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vítor Fonseca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. José Costa was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Duarte Domingues capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Duarte Domingues really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. José Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bento Veiga in the 37th minute. Diamantino Cunha's late challenge caught a Gambelas FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diamantino Cunha helped the player get up and apologised. Bento Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over José Costa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bento Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. Luís Trindade kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Bento Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. José Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Duarte Domingues stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 51 minutes, Vítor Fonseca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gambelas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vítor Fonseca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, SC Resouro's Alexandre Viana got control of the ball when Vítor Fonseca tried to sneak it across the goal line. SC Resouro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Vítor Fonseca scored to the left of an out of position Alexandre Viana, making the score, 1-1. 57 minutes into the match, Gambelas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Bento Veiga came free, but José Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Bento Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Bento Veiga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but José Costa was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Duarte Domingues recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Duarte Domingues in the 75th minute of the match. If Bento Veiga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bento Veiga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Costa having to interfere. Alexandre Viana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xavier Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. 87 minutes in the game, Xavier Aguiar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Alexandre Viana having to interfere. SC Resouro's Alexandre Viana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save SC Resouro from getting a goal against them.
